For many years AWTA has provided a Virtual-Private Network (VPN) to connect customers with our EDI service so they can send and receive certificate data electronically. This is done via a VPN Client program (provided by CISCO systems) installed on the user\u2019s computer or company server, that creates a secure tunnel to AWTA\u2019s server over the internet. Other software then transfers the data back and forth.<\/p>\n
<\/i>More recently, supporting the VPN has become problematic as major software companies now favour File-Transfer Protocol (Secure) or FTPS over third party VPN applications. AWTA has been working with Wool Industry software providers and customers for the past 2 years to move connections to our EDI Mailbox off the VPN and across to FTPS. That changeover is nearly complete and so we plan to discontinue the CISCO VPN from July 1\u7ad9<\/sup> 2015.<\/p>\n Customers who have inquiries regarding the status or timing of this change should contact their software provider. <\/p>\n
